Every haiku exudes an unbridled poetic energy that is so fleeting and ephemeral that it absorbs within it time and gives us pleasure. This enjoyment has no object, it posseses nothing. It is joy in itself, joy for the beauty of language, joy of being. Zvezdana’s haikus are surprisingly diverse in their themes and encompass an entire palette of meditative, intimate and even socially or politically engaged states.
