Visits are the second collection of short stories by young author Samanta Hadžić Žavski, in which she plays with both many societal stereotypes and with readers’ expectations. The collection is composed of three parts: Visits, Touches, and Sounds. The title of each chapter represents the common thread of the stories. What are all the things that can happen during a visit? What do touches and sounds lead to?

Samanta often begins developing the story by focusing on a piece of the mosaic and then, with a sensitivity to developing tension, she creates a growing picture that usually ends with a twist. The reader is first forcefully thrown into the centre of the action, and, at the end, she aims the kaleidoscope of expectations back at the reader. In the young author’s stories, it oftentimes turns out underneath the seemingly idyllic home lives, friendships or just random relationships are hidden unresolved traumas and frustration that erupt in various forms and bring along a variety of consequences.
